Responsibilities of the Radiology Technologist (RT):
• Oversee radiologic services within the surgery center
• Perform diagnostic imaging for invasive procedures with a high level of accuracy
• Position patients safely and effectively to obtain optimal diagnostic images
• Administer and record isotope dosage according to protocol and regulatory standards
• Maintain radiation safety measures including use of badge monitors, shields, lead aprons, and collars
• Collaborate with the Radiation Safety Officer, Consultant Radiologist, and Administrator to ensure compliance and safety during c-arm usage
• Assist in the annual inspection and compliance processes for radiologic equipment and protective gear
• Follow equipment protocols and radiation protection guidelines
• Provide basic patient care and maintain a safe and efficient work environment

Requirements of the Radiology Technologist (RT):
• High school diploma required
• Associate’s Degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Licensed by New York State as a Radiologic Technologist
• 3–5 years of radiologic technologist experience preferred
• Ability to work Monday–Friday between 6:00 AM–4:00 PM, with occasional late stays based on surgical volume
• Excellent physical and mental health; ability to stand, walk, lift, and move equipment regularly
• Cooperative, dependable, and able to work effectively within a team

Tallavera is currently seeking Full-Time and Per Diem Radiology Technologists (RTs) in Rochester, NY. The Radiology Technologist will support a state-of-the-art surgical center and provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services. These roles include one full-time opening and one per diem opening that will provide vacation and sick-time coverage. The RT will work closely with surgeons, clinical leadership, and the Radiation Safety Officer to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient imaging during surgical procedures.
