Overview

Join our dynamic global hospitality technology team as a Property Management Suite (PMS) Technical Support Specialist. This is a remote role offering a unique opportunity to contribute to a leading technology company focused on enhancing hotel operations through innovative solutions. You will play a crucial role in providing advanced operational and functional support for Opera Cloud PMS and associated systems.

Duration: 6+ months (with potential to extend).

Location: 100% Remote (US-based with occasional travel up to 4 weeks per year for meetings, workshops, or on-site support).

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-level operational and functional support for Opera v5, Opera Cloud, Colleague Advantage, and FreedomPay systems.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot complex issues escalated to Level 3 support, ensuring timely resolution in alignment with service-level expectations.
  • Maintain adherence to brand and system configuration standards while partnering with hotel operations, deployment teams, and external vendors.
  • Evaluate system configurations and enhancements to create a seamless experience for both guests and colleagues.
  • Assist in system projects, beta testing, and post-installation activities, ensuring smooth implementation of new features.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, configuration guides, and training materials for hotel teams worldwide.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in hospitality operations (Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Services, or Reservations).
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Opera PMS, including front-end usage and configuration.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills paired with experience using ticketing or case management systems.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities across different time zones, effectively communicating with diverse teams.
  • Proven experience in developing and delivering comprehensive system training.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with RESERVE CRS, SynXis, or credit card processing platforms.
  • Prior remote support or application consulting experience within global hospitality systems is a plus.
  • Understanding of system integrations, data flow, and API connectivity.
  • Participation in UAT, regression testing, or change control environments.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Equally considered will be equivalent professional experience in hospitality technology.
