Join our IVDSA team as a Program Assistant and make a difference in the lives of families and individuals with Down syndrome We’re looking for caring, dependable volunteers to support our program leaders in providing fun, meaningful activities for our members.
Programs Include:
- Little Steps (Ages 0–3) – Early learning and play-based family gatherings
- Next Steps (Ages 4–7) – Interactive social and developmental activities
- Club Awesome (Ages 8–12) – Engaging group activities that build confidence and friendships
- Teentastic (Ages 13–17) – Social events that promote independence and connection
- Siblings Group – Support and fun for brothers and sisters of individuals with Down syndrome
Volunteer Responsibilities:
- Assist program leaders with monthly activity planning
- Help with event setup, check-in, and clean up
- Support participants during activities, games, and crafts
- Contribute ideas to make each session inclusive and engaging
Time Commitment:
- 1–2 events per month (3–4 hours per event)
Ideal For:
Students, community members, or anyone looking to make a positive impact while gaining hands-on experience working with children, teens, and families with Down syndrome in a supportive environment.
