Our client, the financial services industry, is seeking a Data Engineer to join their team. As a Data Engineer, you will be part of the FI Data Solutions team supporting data platform development and financial product integration. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Data Engineer

Location: Smithfield, Rhode Island

What's the Job?

  • Design, build, and maintain operational and analytical data capabilities within the data platforms.
  • Develop end-to-end solutions for data ingestion, transformation, and validation using Java Spring Batch, SQL, and AWS services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring new financial products into the data ecosystem, enhancing reporting and analytics capabilities.
  • Optimize SQL queries for performance and ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Support production rollout and ongoing maintenance of data solutions, ensuring high availability and reliability.
What's Needed?
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, especially with Oracle and Snowflake databases.
  • Minimum of 4 years of Java development experience, with hands-on work in Spring Batch for ETL processes.
  • Experience working with AWS cloud services, including AWS Batch, S3, and IAM.
