Principle Network Architect

Insight Global is looking to hire a Senior Network Architect for a customer that is focused on revolutionizing the quantum computing space. This person will be in a data center with AWS Direct Connect and HPC responsibilities focuses on designing and maintaining hybrid connectivity between on-prem infrastructure and AWS. Daily tasks include validating Direct Connect circuits, optimizing low-latency networking for HPC clusters, and ensuring security through encryption and firewall policies. The role involves collaborating with cloud and HPC teams, monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and updating documentation. Toward the end of the day, the architect researches emerging technologies like SDN and automation tools and mentors engineers to maintain best practices across hybrid environments.

Required Skills & Experience
- 20 yrs experience w/ Networking & Firewalls, focused on Palo Alto equipment (Primsa Cloud and Global Protect)
- Must be able to build a firewall from scratch
- Cisco Stack
- Data Center Design and Scalability
- HPC Networking
- Cloud Connect - AWS Direct Connect
- Knowledge of routing domain policies
- Building switches from scratch
- Network protocols: TCP/IP, VLAN, network config, network segmentation
- Network Monitoring, troubleshooting, System backups, disaster recovery
