Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant to support the Surgical team as a First Assist in the operating room. This role involves close collaboration with the Chief of Surgery, Vascular, and Oncology surgeons, providing expert assistance during surgical procedures. The Physician Assistant will also support pre- and post-operative care in the clinic, including patient evaluations, follow-up visits, inpatient rounding, and coordinating care communication with referring and primary providers to ensure seamless patient management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as First Assist in the operating room during complex surgical cases.
- Perform pre-operative patient evaluations and post-operative follow-ups in the clinic setting.
- Assist with inpatient rounding and provide ongoing care coordination.
- Communicate effectively with the surgical team, patients, families, and referring providers.
- Maintain compliance with clinical protocols and documentation standards.
- Competitive salary range: $115,000 - $135,000 annually.

Job Requirements
- Current Physician Assistant license in New York State (NYS)
- National Certification from NCCPA
- Valid DEA license
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a surgical and outpatient clinic setting
