Job Title: Forklift Operator

Shift: 7am - 7:15pm

Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday.

Pay: $18 /hr. 6 month contract to hire, then eligible for $1 - $2 raise based on attendance and performance.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator to join our team. This role involves operating a stand-up forklift to perform inbound and outbound tasks, including loading and unloading trucks, picking full pallets, and storing products efficiently. The position requires adherence to quality standards over quantity, especially when handling FDA-regulated products. You will work on a rotating shift schedule, either during the day or night.

Responsibilities

• Operate stand-up forklifts for inbound and outbound tasks.

• Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.

• Pick full pallets and store products accurately.

• Maintain a high level of attention to detail with FDA-regulated products.

• Identify and rectify mistakes promptly.

• Ensure compliance with GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in operating stand-up forklifts.

• Attention to detail, especially with FDA-regulated products.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Good computer and RF scanner skills.

• Stable work history and reliability.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with GMPs and SOPs is beneficial.

• Experience with SAP or inventory management is a plus.

• Capability to handle basic math for inventory tasks.

Work Environment

Work in a large, semi-climate controlled 500,000 square ft. warehouse with 40 employees. The facility offers air conditioning in the summer, though it lacks heating in the winter to maintain product temperature requirements. This distribution hub supports chocolate manufacturing, including bean roasting, chocolate liquor production, and more.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bethlehem, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
