Lead Superintendent - Build What Matters
Location: Santa Cruz, CA

Compensation: $150,000 to $180,000 + Bonus

What You Will Do
- Lead all project field operations, driving daily progress, safety, and quality
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and self-perform crews (Union Carpenters and Laborers)
- Own the schedule and manage three-week lookaheads with precision
- Collaborate with project managers, consultants, and designers to solve challenges before they escalate
- Ensure strict safety compliance and proactively mitigate high-risk work activities
- Manage inspections, punch lists, and designer observations
- Document daily progress, labor, materials, and equipment using tools like Procore and Bluebeam
- 5 or more years of experience as a lead superintendent for a general contractor on commercial or public works projects
- Ability to lead people and orchestrate complex site operations with clarity and accountability
- Deep knowledge of code compliance, building standards, and construction best practices
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency with construction technology including Procore, Bluebeam, and scheduling software
- OSHA 30 certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass a background check and LiveScan clearance as required

Work Location
This is a full time onsite position based in Felton, (Santa Cruz County) CA for at least the first year.
At this time, we are only considering candidates local to the area or within commuting distance. Relocation is not available for this position.
