Your role is vital in impacting our patients' lives, and we are eager to welcome a dedicated Radiology Specialist like you to our team.
Job Summary and QualificationsAs a Radiology Specialist, you will utilize standard and specialized X-ray equipment to execute routine and semi-complex radiographic examinations crucial for diagnosis and treatment by physicians. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing patients for radiological procedures and performing X-rays while prioritizing patient care and safety.
- Developing and processing imaging and transmitting them to a Radiologist for interpretation.
- Administering contrast media and medications in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Ensuring accurate and prompt image transfer to the PACS system, maintaining image quality, and correct patient data.
- Maintaining cleanliness and sterility of the work area and equipment between patients.
- Strictly adhering to radiation safety protocols and guidelines.
Job Requirements
Experience:
- Preferred: One year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
Education:
- Graduates of an accredited Radiology program by the JRCERT, or an AMA-approved program, or an equivalent military program.
- Preferred: Associate’s Degree or higher in Radiologic Technology.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Current Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) certification with Texas Medical Board (TMB).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as per St. David's Healthcare policy.
- Certification in Radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT, (R)).
