Join the Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD as a Program Manager III (Service Coordination) The Program Manager III performs administrative duties involving day-to-day operations of the unit. These duties include, but are not limited to, assisting with program planning and development, training and supervision of the work performance of designated unit staff. Responsible for planning, organizing and conducting multidisciplinary team meetings in collaboration with the Director and other leadership team members. Is responsible for carrying out program/unit goals and objectives. This position works at the administrative level in collaboration with the Director to ensure agency/unit policy and contract compliance. Responsible for management of other administrative tasks inclusive of but not limited to, budget reports, payroll, fixed assets, time management and supplies oversight. May manage special projects assigned for the program administrative offices. This position may require travel, flexible hours and may provide coverage in the absence of the Director.
Your Role in Action:
- Provides supervision to designated unit staff to facilitate optimal supervision in the performance of job duties/activities.
- Evaluates work performance of unit staff and institutes written disciplinary actions for substandard performance as needed.
- Provides guidance, training, leadership and direction for unit staff.
- Works collaboratively with the Director to develop, implement and monitor operational procedures ensuring compliance with program policies, state regulations and funding requirements.
- Works collaboratively with program Leadership and other agency staff in providing guidance to program staff to facilitate continuity and effective service delivery.
- Plans and conduct team meetings in collaboration with the Director and appropriate team members as needed.
- Ensures expenditure monitoring of grants/funding sources, timely financial reporting and information is provided to the division Budget Manager and other finance staff.
- Arranges for coverage of supervised staff to ensure continuity of services as needed; ensures coverage for supervised staff is maintained.
- Ensures supervised staff are in compliance with the Agency's mandatory training requirements and job-related training needs are met.
- Participates in the hiring and termination process of supervised staff.
- Performs administrative duties as assigned by Director.
- Oversees the maintenance of program which includes management of supplies, equipment, and facility services requests.
- Institutes procedures/actions to follow-up on incidents/safety issues that pose a liability risk for the agency and/or have a significant impact on service delivery.
- Performs other related duties as assigned. Adapts to changing work requirements.
Education :
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, required.
- At least 3 years working in a health and human services setting. At least 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Ability to effectively lead others.
- Strong communication skills with ability to effectively converse and listen to others and construct clear and concise written communication.
- Ability to identify and offer solutions to resolve problems, using knowledge of the organization to identify helpful resources.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Able to utilize advanced Word and Excel documents.
- Able to utilize data management, time management and medical record systems at an advanced level.
