Field Technician

Arrowhead Talent Solutions is assisting a growing company in filling a Field Technician role in the Hudson, OH area. The Field Technician will provide service and customer support during repair and maintenance visits, managing on-site installations, repairs, maintenance, and testing tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair systems, including both hardware and software components.
- Advise customers on operational procedures and system requirements.
- Communicate effectively in person to assist and train customers and partners.
- Test and verify the functionality of installed equipment for optimal performance.
- Document processes and complete required documentation, including Service Acceptance Tests (SATs), Voice of Customer (VoC) reports, trip reports, and expense reports.
- Assist with customer demonstrations and exhibitions (e.g., trade shows).
- Provide remote or office support via email or phone to troubleshoot and resolve customer requests, including RMA processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic equipment and proficiency in using diagnostic instruments.
- Associate degree in a technical field or completion of an apprenticeship program; military experience may also be considered.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in electrical, electronic, and mechanical fields.
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic computer skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedules.
- Willingness to travel via commercial airlines.
- Ability to follow maps and verbal driving directions.
- Experience driving vehicles up to a 26' box truck.
Working Conditions:
This role involves working in various environments, including warehouses, offices, outdoors, and correctional facilities. Standard office equipment will be used, and employees may encounter fumes, airborne particles, moving parts, and varying noise levels. Conditions may include warm, cold, rainy, snowy, and humid weather.
The position requires occasional standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing, talking, and hearing. Employees must be able to lift or move items weighing up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Travel Requirements:
Travel is required 90% of the time, including domestic and international trips, with overnight stays.
