Description

Summary: Responsible for demonstrating and promoting SRHM's core value of the golden ruleby treating guests, vendors, and employees in the same way we would like to be treated. Withminimal supervision and guidance from the Maintenance Director is responsible and accountablein assisting in the planning and coordination of all functions of the maintenance department toensure an efficiently run hotel for environmental services by performing the following duties.

1. Assists in monitoring, coordinating or completing maintenance duties to ensure the hotelis always in a clean, orderly, safe and attractive condition.*
2. Reacts and takes the lead in emergency repairs of any kind regarding equipmentbreakdown, seeks methods for completing repairs and accomplishes same withinmaintenance tech's technical capabilities.*
3. Assists and follows through on aesthetic improvement plans both inside and outside thebuilding that include but are not limited to painting, including touch-up painting, stainingwoodwork, drywall repairs and minor building repairs.*
4. Assists housekeeping with moving furniture in rooms, as well as relocating guests whenappropriate as deemed necessary by the General Manager.*
5. Provides hands-on repairs on an as-needed basis to ensure a pro-active approach to allmaintenance activities.*
6. Responsible for always wearing clean and appropriate dress per established dress codepolicy.*
7. Coordinates contracted services and monitors all maintenance functions to ensureadherence to schedule and quality are in the best interest of the hotel.*
8. Performs daily walk-arounds both inside and outside of the hotel to monitor and scheduletimely repairs and touch-ups in all areas that need attention.*
9. Responsible for always responding promptly and courteously to guest, vendor andassociate requests for assistance.*
10. Responsible for speaking and interacting with guests; consistently demonstratingempathy, kindness, compassion and respect.*
11. Maintains a safe and secure working environment, free of objects/situations that couldcause harm and/or falls to guests, vendors, visitors and associates.*
12. Responsible for always practicing good body mechanics and safe working habits.*
13. Observes, repairs, and reports safety hazards immediately to supervisor.*
14. Knows, understands, and follows established policy and procedures in emergencysituations.*
15. Responsible for being considered essential personnel during emergencies (during andafter-hours) and/or inclement weather and is required to report or remain at hotel untilreleased by supervisor.*
16. Responsible for always demonstrating a positive and respectful attitude about workissues, policies and procedures.*
17. Complies with attendance and call off policy.*
18. Attends and/or participates in trainings, in-service and mandatory meetings.*
19. Responsible for willingly taking on special projects or assignments outside of regularduties.
20. Performs all other reasonable duties as assigned or as requested by General Manager /Supervisor.

Qualifications:

Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenanceinstructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Abilityto speak effectively before customers or associates of the organization.

Math Ability:
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Abilityto perform these operations using units of American money and weight, measurement, volumeand distance.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oralinstructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardizedsituations.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experienceand/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
