Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Cardiac Sonographer Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 12/21/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: Sonographer - Cardiac Sonographer Adult Job Details: Work 8-hour day shifts Monday through Friday Weekend call rotation schedule of 1 in 6 Call shift runs Friday at 4:00 PM through Monday at 7:00 AM with Saturday shift 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM One evening call shift per week (staff on weekend call do not work weekday call) Perform 6-8 echocardiograms per shift Adult cardiac sonography experience required NICU/Pediatric experience desired but not required Work with mix of inpatient and outpatient procedures Perform echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, TEE, and dobutamine stress echocardiograms Daily assignments provided for coverage areas Work with Philips machines (7 total available) Utilize Epic and Muse software systems Facility: This medical center operates a comprehensive cardiac imaging department located within the hospital setting. The facility maintains modern equipment and technology to support a full range of cardiac diagnostic procedures. The department provides both inpatient and outpatient services, offering a diverse clinical experience for sonographers with opportunities to work across multiple cardiac imaging modalities and patient populations. Location: Elmira, NY Elmira offers a charming upstate New York location in the beautiful Finger Lakes region, known for its rich history and scenic landscapes. The area provides an excellent quality of life with access to outdoor recreation, cultural attractions, and the natural beauty of the Southern Tier, while maintaining proximity to larger metropolitan areas.
