Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the distribution of work among technicians
  • Oversee technician workloads and ensure workflow efficiency in the service area
  • Train and mentor junior technicians
  • Assist in diagnosing and repairing vehicles, supporting continuous employee development
  • Foster a team environment that upholds our brand's quality standards for efficient troubleshooting
  • Manage shop supplies and equipment inventory
  • Maintain bulk fluid levels and monitor shop efficiency through hours reports
  • Oversee scan tool subscriptions
  • Delegate routine housekeeping tasks to promote a safe and organized workspace
  • Enforce safety regulations
  • Collaborate with the service department to address guest concerns and assist with complaint resolutions

Qualifications:

  • Positive attitude and commitment to guest service
  • 7+ years of automotive technician experience
  • Expertise in automotive diagnostics
  • Investment in high-quality tools
  • Ability to achieve 40+ billable hours per week based on shop needs
  • ASE A1-A8 Certifications required; Master L1 preferred
  • Diesel experience is a plus
  • Proficient in diagnosing and repairing all makes and models of vehicles
  • Aim to meet or exceed hourly performance goals
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in new skills and processes
  • Professional appearance with excellent communication skills
  • Desire for long-term career advancement

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasionally lift and/or move over 50 pounds
  • Ability to work on vehicles raised above head height
  • Comfortable working in tight spaces
  • Dexterity to use hand tools effectively
  • Ability to walk or stand for most of the workday
  • Drive vehicles with manual transmissions
  • Competent in navigating computer systems
