Your Key Responsibilities
- Performing thorough patient evaluations, prescribing diagnostic tests, and developing individualized care plans.
- Diagnosing and treating acute, episodic, or chronic conditions collaboratively or independently (depending on your credentials).
- Instructing patients and families on prevention, wellness, and disease management strategies.
- Prescribing necessary medications and therapies in accordance with your scope of practice.
- Involved in patient follow-ups and chronic care management.
- Working in conjunction with interdisciplinary teams for a seamless, comprehensive care experience.
- Maintaining precise and thorough documentation within electronic medical records (EMR).
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).
- Completion from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in Texas.
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent specialization.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to secure them within 90 days).
