Inventory Receiving Specialist

As an Inventory Receiving Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all products are received in compliance with company policies. Your efforts will contribute to the promotion of a team culture that reflects our core values and guiding principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive all merchandise and process credits following company protocols.
  • Oversee the flow of vendor traffic through receiving areas efficiently.
  • Box and ship returned products to the warehouse in line with company guidelines.
  • Ensure all vendor invoices are accurate, featuring legible pricing and correct extensions.
  • Assist in training and developing new receiving team members as needed.
  • Identify and flag any discrepancies or shortages on invoices and secure vendor confirmation.
  • Coordinate with management to relay store feedback for operational improvements.
  • Accurately post all invoice documents to the receiving log.
  • Conduct daily and weekly checks on forklift and electric jack operations.
  • Monitor shelf conditions and manage freshness and inventory levels in the DSD area.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment for teammates and customers.
  • Adhere to compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain general housekeeping standards in receiving and storage areas, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
  • Report any equipment issues to management promptly.
  • Sweep and maintain floors during store hours, especially responding to spills.
  • Collaborate with teammates to identify and resolve inefficiencies in operations.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required; prior experience is preferred.
  • Strong customer relations skills, basic math competency, and excellent organizational abilities are essential.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Forklift and Pallet Jack certifications are necessary.

Working conditions involve a well-lit and ventilated area, occasional exposure to cold storage (down to -20 degrees), humid conditions, and seasonal outdoor weather. You may encounter noise from machinery and exposure to various environmental factors. The role requires physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally and maintaining mobility throughout your shifts.
