Team Overview

In the Risk Management Product Data Science team, you will leverage machine learning to enhance operational efficiencies and risk management practices within our organization. Your contributions will include:

• Driving Compliance Innovation

• Leading initiatives in Compliance & Ethics, including General Compliance and Corporate Integrity

• Advancing Natural Language Processing projects

• Exploring Generative AI initiatives

This role is essential as we shift from traditional data collection and reporting to real-time business analysis, utilizing data science and Generative AI.

Your Role

In this position, you will:

• Collaborate with a diverse team of data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to create products that resonate with our customers

• Utilize a wide array of technologies, including Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, and Spark, to uncover insights from extensive numeric and textual datasets

• Develop machine learning models throughout their lifecycle: from design and training to evaluation and implementation

• Use your communication skills to translate complex data science concepts into clear and actionable business objectives

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

• Innovative: Always exploring new technologies and keeping up with state-of-the-art methods and applications

• Technical: Proficient in open-source languages and passionate about data science. Experienced with data science solutions on cloud platforms

• Statistically-minded: Experienced in model building, validation, and backtesting with a strong understanding of various statistical metrics

• A data guru: Knowledgeable in handling and analyzing big data from diverse sources

Basic Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or have obtained:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field) with 5 years of data analytics experience

  • A Master's Degree in a quantitative field or an MBA with a quantitative focus with 3 years of data analytics experience

  • A PhD in a quantitative discipline

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in a STEM field or a PhD in a STEM field plus relevant experience

• Experience working with AWS (1 year)

• Proficiency in Python, Scala, or R (3 years)

• Experience with machine learning (3 years)

• Proficiency in SQL (3 years)

• Experience with generative AI (2 years)

• Experience with natural language processing (2 years)

Salary ranges for this position include:

• McLean, VA: $161,800 - $184,600

• New York, NY: $176,500 - $201,400

• Plano, TX: $147,100 - $167,900

• Richmond, VA: $147,100 - $167,900

Annual salaries will vary based on location and will be detailed in the offer letter. This role is also eligible for performance-based bonuses and long-term incentives.
