FORVIA - HELLA is seeking its next great systemsengineer / architect to join our growing body controls team. The primaryfunction of this position will be to partner with internal and externalstakeholders to drive development of our next generation product design. Daily Responsibilities
- Responsible for governess of System 3 and 4* processes as per ASPICE with support from SW and HW architects, system analysts and the requirements manager.
- Assist with the creation of the System Architectural Design Specification based on Customer and System level Requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware electrical, software, mechanical design and testing, to define the system architecture and its interfaces.
- Perform technical risk management for the overall product as system of interest (SOI), its elements and components without losing perspective of the vehicle architecture.
- Supports new program acquisition and current program redesign changes.
Plans and oversees the integration/test at system level with support from Overall Test Manager
- Self-motivated engineer with Systems Mindset and strong sense of responsibility who enjoys solving problems on daily basis and holds a bachelor's degree in science, engineering or similar. You are characterized by a high level of identification with continuous improvement, and you feel personally responsible for achieving the project goals.
- 5+ years of accumulated relevant experience in automotive ECU development under HW electrical, Software, Mechanical and Test disciplines preferable in Body Products: BCM, CCU, CCM, SCM, DSM, Zone Controllers, etc. with focus in identifying cost aware solutions to meet stakeholder requirements and comply with regulations.
- Great Modeling skills to analyze needs-and-wants, formal requirements, and use-cases (regardless of the tool or method).
- Great communication and human interaction skills to collaborate with local and international, intercultural stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a strong ability to analyze complex systems and abstract perspectives to simplify communication with stakeholders.
- Interest, ability and willingness to collaborate in-person in Detroit metropolitan area travel domestically and internationally. Travel < 20%.
- 5+ years leading the architectural development of automotive embedded products
- Prior exposure to positional topics and tools areas such as AUTOSAR, ASPICE, Functional Safety, Cyber Security, FMEA
- CAN/Vector tools, and Matlab.
- INCOSE CSEP or equivalent.
