Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
Pay: $20.00/hour | Weekly Pay
Location: Hybrid - 104 Woodmont Blvd, Nashville TN
Start Date: December 15 (Tentative)
Schedule: Monday to Friday - Standard Business Hours
Opportunity Overview:
Join a Fortune 100 organization and play a key role within the Finance and Accounting team As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will handle invoice processing, payment coordination, and supplier inquiries while ensuring accuracy and compliance with AP procedures. This hybrid position allows you to work onsite and remotely (2 days per week after training), providing stability, growth potential, and a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities:
• Process, verify, and post supplier invoices with accuracy
• Ensure timely payments and follow established approval workflows
• Address and resolve supplier inquiries related to invoices or payments
• Support both routine and non-routine AP tasks under the guidance of the AP Supervisor or Manager
• Maintain organized AP records in compliance with internal policies
• Utilize Workday for AP entry, review, and transaction management
• Collaborate with internal teams to address discrepancies and assist with month-end close
• Follow company accounting standards and escalate issues when needed
Skills & Qualifications
Technical & Functional Skills:
• Strong understanding of Accounts Payable processes and best practices
• Workday AP processing experience strongly preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Ability to manage high-volume tasks with consistent accuracy
• Comfortable using financial systems and ERP tools
Soft Skills:
• Professional communication and vendor relationship management
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Problem-solving mindset with strong follow-through
• Reliable, punctual, and deadline-driven
Education & Additional Requirements
• Education: Associate's degree preferred; equivalent experience accepted
• Experience: 2-4 years of Accounts Payable or related accounting experience required
• Work Environment:
o Onsite at 104 Woodmont Blvd., Nashville, TN during training and scheduled onsite days
o Eligible for hybrid work-remote 2 days per week after training
o Dedicated home workspace for remote days
o High-speed wired internet required (15 Mbps download / 5 Mbps upload, ≤30ms ping)
o Must use a surge protector with network line protection for company-provided equipment
