Your Role and Responsibilities
- Provide thorough patient evaluations, order diagnostic tests, and create personalized care strategies
- Dive into diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health issues, either independently or in partnership with physicians as per your credentialing
- Educate patients and their families on prevention, wellness, and chronic disease management approaches
- Prescribe medications and therapies within your professional scope
- Engage in patient follow-ups and long-term care management
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive, seamless patient care
- Ensure meticulous documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree
- Completion of a recognized Nurse Practitioner program
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in Texas
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C from AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialization
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Exceptional clinical judgment complemented by a caring bedside manner
- Strong communication abilities with patients, families, and medical colleagues
- Flexibility and adaptability working in fast-paced and patient-focused environments
- Competence in EMR systems and familiarity with telehealth technologies
- A team-oriented approach and dedication to evidence-based healthcare practices
