Summary:

The Maintenance Coordinator services three departments: Maintenance, Quality Assurance, and Tooling. He or she will enter data in an established database, document processes for the departments, and assist with purchasing items as required.

Responsibilities:

The following duties are considered essential to this position. Other responsibilities may be assigned.

  • Enter work orders in the appropriate database programs.
  • Assist with running reports on the work order program.
  • Answer the department phones. Direct the call to the appropriate person.
  • File paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Contact maintenance supervisors for high priority or emergency assignment.
  • Initiate, call, fax, and track purchase orders. Work with the MRO buyer to ensure complete and timely purchase order processing. Expedite purchase orders as required. Ensure best prices are received and available discounts are applied.
  • Document processes that affect the maintenance functions. Work with the organizational development department to ensure that all procedures meet Suncast document standards.
  • Keep all parts inventories properly organized.
  • Maintain good housekeeping with all parts inventories.
  • Maintain PM program; keep organized and properly documented.
  • Process purchase returns and warranty claims. Ensure appropriate shipping methods are used. Ensure credit is processed.
  • Stay informed of new technology, methods, and materials for this position.
  • Support and comply with all Suncast safety policies, quality standards, and housekeeping methods at all times. Suncast policies have been developed to ensure compliance with employee law.
Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, and schedule form.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office product skills required. Should be able to use the Word to write business memos and letters.
  • Data entry skills necessary. Must be detail-oriented and highly accurate at entering data in established databases.
  • This employee must have the ability to learn to use computer programs, such as a database system, and be capable of teaching that system to others.

This is a physically active position in a manufacturing facility. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. This employee should be able to communicate effectively with others and use active listening skills. Vision ability requirements for this job include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception. This is a full-time position. Due to fluctuations in production schedules, this employee may be required to work additional hours to meet additional needs.

While performing these duties, the employee will spend most of his or her time in an office environment. However, Suncast is a manufacturer, and it will be necessary to enter the manufacturing area to complete some tasks or to enter some office areas. Typically, offices are climate controlled and have a moderate noise level for an office. Manufacturing areas are subject to seasonal variations in temperature and humidity. Noise level is generally moderate for manufacturing. Safety equipment is required when in manufacturing areas.

The Anticipated Pay Range for This Position: $20.40-$25.50 hourly
