About the Role

In this role, you will work within the Quality Assurance Team to perform visual, mechanical, functional, electrical, software log file, and dimensional inspections on plastics printer hardware. Your timely quality reviews of incoming parts, in-process production, and end of line finished products, to ensure engineering specifications are met, will support the overall business by rejecting product that does not meet specifications and passing good products to finished goods for sale to customers.

This role has an onsite work schedule requiring the person to be in the onsite location 5 days a week.

What You Will Do
  • Perform inspection tasks involving the use of a wide variety of test instruments and equipment to measure the values and record functional operation of components.
  • Perform incoming inspection checks using mechanical and/or electrical test equipment to verify product meets specifications.
  • Randomly audit raw production parts in the warehouse to assess conformance to specifications.
  • Perform production line process audits to ensure production line compliance to released documentation.
  • Perform end of production line quality checks to ensure product conforms to released specifications.
  • Review finished product software log files for underlying issues not readily displayed by the product.
  • Support annual tool calibration tasks.
  • Communicates with quality and development engineers concerning product and documentation defects.
  • Utilize shop math techniques (addition, subtraction, multiplication, & division), dexterity and mechanical aptitude to operate precision equipment.
  • Complete tasks accurately and on-time, paying close attention to detail.
  • Maintain compliance to all quality requirements.
  • Participate in continuous learning and problem solving.
Qualifications

What You Will Bring
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate Degree or vocational tech certificate preferred.
  • Proficiency with precision measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, and programmable equipment (PC-DMIS and Hexagon Inspire Software).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings specifications, and First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation.
  • GD&T experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of TrackVia, Jira, Microsoft Word & Excel software applications.
  • Strong capability to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities while maintaining accuracy.
  • Experience inspecting and measuring parts of various sizes and complexity.
  • Experience identifying inefficiencies and suggesting practical adjustments to manufacturing processes.
  • Confidence in gathering data, generating reports, and presenting findings to colleagues at all levels.
  • This position serves the Production Quality Group, which includes the need to work on export-controlled products from aerospace and defense customers.
