Description
The Dump Truck / Heavy Equipment Driver is responsible for operating commercial vehicles and heavy machinery to transport and dispose of construction materials, debris, or waste. This role involves safe vehicle operation, routine inspections, adherence to local traffic laws and environmental regulations, and performing minor maintenance as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate dump trucks, roll-off trucks, or other heavy equipment to transport materials such as dirt, gravel, demolition debris, or trash.
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe operating conditions.
  • Load and unload materials, often working with loaders, excavators, or other heavy machinery.
  • Navigate routes efficiently, maintaining timely pickups or deliveries as scheduled.
  • Communicate with site supervisors or dispatchers for instructions and updates.
  • Comply with all DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate logs and delivery documentation.
  • Assist with basic vehicle maintenance and report any mechanical issues.
Qualifications:
  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL - Class A or B, depending on vehicle).
  • Previous experience operating dump trucks, roll-offs, or heavy equipment preferred.
  • Ability to read maps and follow GPS directions.
  • Strong attention to safety and detail.
