Position: Design Engineer
In partnership with gpac, a 30+ years recruitment company, one of our very best clients is seeking a talented Design Engineer to join our well-established company in the Construction industry. This is an amazing opportunity for candidates who want to take their career to new heights and contribute to exciting projects.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Department heads to ensure deadlines are met and maintain the quality of the department.
- Execute engineering design efforts to develop construction documents for assigned projects, focusing on HVAC, process piping, and ductwork systems.
- Prepare project specifications for HVAC and piping designs.
- Conduct site visits to gather field data necessary for design.
- Review shop drawings and submittals to ensure compliance with construction documents and specifications.
- Participate in all phases of design and construction for multiple projects.
- Collaborate with team members and clients, demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Run loads and assist in training young engineers.
Essential Job Functions:
- Ensure timely completion of engineering design projects.
- Create accurate and detailed construction documents.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
- Maintain knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
- Continuously improve skills and stay updated with the latest engineering technologies and trends.
Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software.
- Strong understanding of HVAC and piping systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
