Fleet Supervisor

The Fleet Supervisor plays a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly by managing and maintaining a safe, efficient, and reliable fleet. In this role, you'll oversee vehicle maintenance and inspections, keep accurate service records, and work closely with drivers to schedule and complete regular maintenance. You'll also manage our GPS and Driver Metrics systems to ensure data accuracy and timely reporting.

You'll take the lead on accident reporting, fuel and toll tracking, and finding new ways to improve fleet performance, safety, and cost efficiency. As Fleet Supervisor, you'll guide and support drivers in their daily activities to ensure resources are used effectively and all company policies are followed. Your major responsibilities include vehicle audits, inventory auditing, record keeping, driver training assignments, and basic warehouse functions.

Essential Functions:

• Manages own time and resources to achieve identified objectives; is diligent in meeting all communicated/defined deadlines. Monitors and updates tickets/tasks/activities assigned to them in company CRM.
• Manages the delivery requests and defines the delivery schedule of project materials by the Driver both daily/weekly.
• Oversees the processing of all accident repairs in accordance with TRL Fleet policy. Coordinates with approved insurance vendors for the timely repair of the fleet. Ensures all documentation is recorded and submitted/filed as needed.
• Monitors fleet maintenance records; ensuring that vehicles are kept in top performance. Oversees the coordination of collecting and delivering vehicles for maintenance and/or repairs to approved vendors ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the fleet.
• Conducts both scheduled and random audits/inspections of fleet vehicles. This includes any inventory and/or tools assigned to the vehicle. Ensures that all daily inspections are being recorded as per fleet policy and documents and/or reports violations.
• Coordinates with HR to ensure that all drivers are appropriately licensed and enrolled in any defined DMV/company system for driver monitoring.
• Identifies any needed policy and procedures focused on fleet operations. Works with the Logistics Manager to ensure that all fleet documentation is updated and accurate according to both company standards and state/federal law.
• May be requested to serve as a backup Inventory Controller (when needed).

Position Requirements:

• 4+ years fleet administration
• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• Valid California Driver License and proof of auto insurance.
• Must be able to work weekends, nights, split shifts, and rotating shifts (if needed).
• Punctuality and regular attendance

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

• Ability to drive for 2+ hours in a work shift/day, daily
• Ability to make repetitive movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers, daily
• Ability to walk, bend, stoop, hear, and speak, daily
• Move/Transport items weighing 50+ pounds, occasionally
• Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments, under all temperature variations
• Pushing/Pulling using upper extremities, daily
• Stand or Sit for long periods (4+ hours), daily
