Our client, a top global wine and spirits supplier (privately held 30+ years in business), is currently seeking a Market Manager - CT/Western MA. Person can be based in Hartford, New Haven, or Stamford. \"Feet on the street\" on/off premise position partnering with Empire and knowing the market well. Generous bonus and car allowance on top of base salary. Top sales leaders, team, culture, and continuously expanding portfolio

The Market Sales Manager will be responsible for delivering volume, distribution, and merchandising performance across the assigned market covering all channels of business, both on and off-premise.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Company brand portfolio within assigned market
  • Ensure the planning and implementation of sales programming in all markets
  • Ensure POS and other marketing assets are utilized in the field with correct programs
  • Merchandising and building displays
  • Implement creative programs to activate the consumer, including product sampling and demos
  • Spend time each month surveying the market to ensure that distribution, pricing, POS, displays, programs, menus, and ads are executed to standard
  • Travel within territory to actively engage accounts

    Experience:
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly verbal, including strong presentation skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently with little direction or supervision; self-starter
  • Willing to be very hands-on to get the job accomplished.
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite including Excel, Word, and Power Point
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive and travel 4-5 days per week
