Software Engineer Join Bestgate Engineering, where we deliver cutting-edge solutions for national security and enterprise innovation. We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer to install, configure, and optimize COTS/GOTS/FOSS software, libraries, and packages for a large HPC Linux computing environment. This role also involves software development and supporting a data storage solution for the High Performance Computing Organization. Required Skills: 7 years of experience as a Software Engineer, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. Experience developing and maintaining scripts using Bash/Python and programming in Python and Java within a Linux environment. Proficiency with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration technologies (e.g., Kubernetes). Knowledge of CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI. Expertise in installing, configuring, and supporting COTS/GOTS/FOSS software, libraries, and packages (e.g., Spark, Arkouda). Experience using system monitoring tools like Grafana/Prometheus and Git version control systems. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field is preferred. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in engineering will be considered. Required Security Clearance: TS/SCI w/Poly Desired Skills: Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles. Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence). *Salary Range: $165,000 - $210,000 *The provided salary range is an approximation based on current market data and may vary. The final offer will be determined after carefully considering the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications as they relate to the position.
