Position: Physical Therapist Assistant
Location: Storrs, CT
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Compensation: Hourly rate starting at $29/hr based on experience
Our Select Physical Therapy outpatient orthopedic center is seeking a licensed physical therapist assistant (PTA) to provide top-notch patient care to patients of all ages and abilities. Our highly trained and respected clinical team provides treatment services that maximize functionality and promote the best optimal outcomes for our patients. We take pride in creating an exceptional patient experience, helping all of our patients get back to athletics, work, life, and the things they love.
This is a large clinic with 6 clinicians and an ATC at a local high school. We stand out as a Select Sports Center of Excellence We are across from the UConn campus and see a large number of college athletes including club sports as well as next to EO Smith high school. We are also across from a large medical center with a busy ortho group. This is a wonderful opportunity for a new grad or a seasoned therapist with an interest in sports related injury. We are highly involved in local community events and have the opportunity to work with graduates and undergrad students on the PT track

- Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
- Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures
- Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.
- College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program
- Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE
- Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)
- CPR certification
