Role Snapshot:
As an Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in minimizing workplace accidents and ensuring a healthy environment for all employees, aligning operational practices with environmental sustainability goals.
Furthermore, you will hold the following responsibilities:
Develop and Implement Safety Programs
- Create and enforce health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct training sessions for employees on health and safety practices, emergency response, and hazardous material handling.
- Perform regular workplace inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety standards.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant health and safety regulations, keeping up to date with changes in laws and advising management accordingly.
- Conduct facility safety inspections, Manage environmental and waste compliance.
- Maintain records of safety training, incidents, and compliance audits, and generate health and safety assessment reports.
- Bachelor's degree in related field, preferred occupational safety and health, or environmental science.
- Relevant certifications such as OSHA Safety Certificate required, and Certified Safety Professional (CSP), EHS, ISO, or similar preferred.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in Environmental Health and Safety roles, understanding of U.S. safety/environmental laws.
- Knowledge of Regulations: Strong understanding of environmental health and safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective training and reporting.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to assess risks and develop effective safety protocols.
- Keen attention to details: A meticulous approach to identifying hazards and ensuring compliance.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
❇ While not essential, familiarity with Korean business culture and ability to communicate in Korean will be highly regarded.
