Dir Architecture - IA06CE

We're determined to make a difference and are proud to be an insurance company that goes well beyond coverages and policies. Working here means having every opportunity to achieve your goals - and to help others accomplish theirs, too. Join our team as we help shape the future.

About the Role

Are you passionate about shaping the future of insurance through cutting-edge AI? We're looking for a visionary Solution Architect who can design and deliver transformative AI-driven solutions for our Business Insurance portfolio. This is your chance to lead innovation, architect scalable systems, and redefine how businesses manage risk in a digital-first world.

This role will have a Hybrid work schedule, with the expectation of working in an office (Hartford, CT; Charlotte, NC; Columbus, OH) 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. The company will not support the STEM OPT I-983 Training Plan endorsement for this position.

What You'll Do

  • Architect AI Solutions: Design end-to-end AI-driven platforms for underwriting and risk assessment.

  • Drive Innovation: Leverage machine learning, NLP, and predictive analytics to create intelligent workflows.

  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with data scientists, engineers, and business leaders to translate complex requirements into elegant, scalable architectures.

  • Ensure Compliance & Security: Implement best practices for data governance, security, and regulatory compliance in AI solutions.

  • Future-Proof Systems: Build modular, cloud-native architectures that adapt to evolving business needs and emerging technologies.

What We're Looking For

  • Technical Expertise: Strong background in AI/ML frameworks, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and microservices architecture.

  • Insurance Domain Knowledge: Understanding of Business Insurance processes, risk analysis, and regulatory landscape.

  • Leadership Skills: Ability to influence stakeholders and lead solution design from concept to deployment.

  • Innovation Mindset: Passion for emerging technologies and their application in real-world business challenges.

Every day, a day to do right.

Showing up for people isn't just what we do. It's who we are - and have been for more than 200 years. We're devoted to finding innovative ways to serve our customers, communities and employees-continually asking ourselves what more we can do.

Is our policy language as simple and inclusive as it can be? Can we better help businesses navigate our ever-changing world? What else can we do to destigmatize mental health in the workplace? Can we make our communities more equitable?

That we can rise to the challenge of these questions is due in no small part to our company values that our employees have shaped and defined.

And while how we contribute looks different for each of us, it's these values that drive all of us to do more and to do better every day.
