Neurology Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide locum services in a Neurocritical Care ICU setting in Jefferson City, MO.
This is an excellent opportunity for an APP with strong neurocritical care experience looking for weekend night coverage starting February 1, 2026.
Job Details:
Specialty: Neurology Neurocritical Care ICU
Setting: Acute Care Hospital
Schedule:
Weekend-focused coverage (Friday Monday)
Night shifts: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts, flexible start/end)
Options for 3x12s or 4x12s
No call required
Contract Length: 17 weeks (flexible, potential to extend)
Start Date: February 1, 2026
Responsibilities:
Manage adult inpatient neuro ICU patients
Facilitate admissions, treatment, and discharge
Perform critical care procedures including central line placement and arterial line placement
Collaborate with neurointensivists and multidisciplinary ICU team
Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation
Maintain ICU staffing ratios of 1:2
Operate ICU equipment including ultrasound
Requirements:
Active Nurse Practitioner license (Missouri preferred; willing to license)
Board Certification required
DEA and CSR required
Minimum ICU experience with strong procedural skills
Ability to manage high-acuity adult patients in a neurocritical care setting
Credentialing:
Estimated timeframe: 30 days
Completion of facility-specific forms and verifications required
Interview with department leadership
