The ideal candidate will have an BA/BS in Electrical or Chemical Engineering and experience in the gas detection industry. This candidate should be able to provide technical support on wireless and non-wireless gas detection portable product lines and assist in the repairing and testing of portable instruments.
Responsibilities- Technical phone and email support for all Americas distributors and end users on all portable products working out of the Santa Clara office, while collaborating with teams in Midland, TX and Shanghai, China.
- Create Return Material Authorizations (RMAs) and document technical support emails and phone calls in Salesforce.
- Assist with repair and calibration of portable products.
- Attend and conduct training to develop relevant knowledge, techniques, and skills.
- Participate in regular meetings and conference calls with teams in US and China.
- Communicate, liaise, and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships.
- Plan/conduct/support local marketing activities to agree upon budgets and timescales, with other organized marketing activities, e.g., product launches, promotions, advertising, exhibitions.
- BA/BS in Electrical or Chemical Engineering preferred or equivalent experience.
- Must have sales application experience in at least two of the following areas: gas detection, wireless systems, network systems, or instruments.
- 7+ yrs. Related experience in Technical Support, Application Engineering or Field Service Engineering.
- Skilled in MS Office 365.
- Adapt at leading and influencing teams towards common goals.
- Excellent skills in verbal, written, and presentation communications.
- Ability to work in a fast pace, multiple tasking and changing work environment.
