Project Manager

The Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, management, procurement, scheduling, and execution of work for assigned construction projects. Maximizes project profitability and promotes the Layton objectives and goals. Achieves quality and safety standards and exceeds owner expectations by delivering predictable outcomes. Duties include championing "The Layton Way," ensuring "Constructing with Integrity," working well with Layton's "Two in the Box" application, assisting in the preparation of estimates and project budgets, leading the project team in preparing the project management plan, participating in value engineering services, preparing project schedules, managing project materials and equipment procurement, monitoring project site performance, negotiating change orders, developing monthly client pay requests, managing final close out procedures, interacting with Estimating, managing client relationships, and performing other related duties as assigned. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field, at least 5 years of experience working in commercial construction, understanding of estimating concepts, contractual language, construction laws and practices, and building codes, effective teamwork and communication skills.
