Job PurposeThe SEO Specialist's role is to assist team members in the execution of client work. The SEO Specialist should have an intense desire to learn on the job and continue to grow knowledge in SEO execution, strategy, and communication.Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe SEO Specialist will be required to wear many hats, and perform work for a wide variety of clients. They will be tasked to execute marketing strategies for various clients as laid out by the Strategists. These tasks could include, but are not limited to:SEO Strategy AssistanceImplement Search Engine Optimization tacticsExecute work and create recommendations/deliverables as needed to fulfill SEO strategiesOrganization of project work using appropriate project management systemsExecute work that meets the companys standard of qualityElevate unexpected events and client issues as necessaryCollaborate with other team members, contractors and/or client teams in the execution of SEO Marketing tactics, such as copywriting, development, or content promotionContent Production Management Writing content briefsImplement small changes to client websites; as necessaryImprove existing blog postsWork with copy editors to develop content and ensure all published content is free of grammatical errorsManage multiple editorial calendars for clients; stay on top of communication with team members and clients in an effort to meet all publication deadlinesReportingAssist team members with data gathering for monthly reportingReport on the success/failure of content or campaignsCreates monthly client reports and ensures they are accurate and on timeCommunication & Team CollaborationServes as a contact for clientsBe able and willing to learn new skills; ask questions; be an active participant in team meetings; share thoughts, knowledge, wins and losses to teach other team members.Attend training sessions conducted by team members or externallyWatching webinars & taking notes to share with teammatesQualificationsGenerally speaking, the right candidate will possess 2-4+ years of experience and a desire to learn from some of the best in the industry.2-4+ years of Digital Agency experience2-4+ years of applicable work experience with a strong focus on SEO, technical SEO, on-page optimization, and content marketingKnowledge of on-page and off-page SEO tactics and strategiesExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and research skillsUnderstanding of and experience with SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and moreAbility to prioritize projects and tasksExcellent ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formatsHighly organized; able to plan and prioritize multiple projects and tasks; strong attention to detailTeam-Building: We are a tight-knit, high-performing team.
