The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and physical integrity of our apartments and the community itself ensuring a safe, secure and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Role & Responsibilities:

The Maintenance Technician will constantly be aware of the physical condition of their assigned community and immediately initiate action to correct unsafe conditions by proactively diagnosing and performing minor and routine maintenance, and carrying out assigned duties in a safe manner as requested by their supervisor. The primary roles of the Maintenance Technician will be assisting the Maintenance team in ensuring a safe environment, maintaining the continuity of essential services, performing ongoing facility maintenance, and completing necessary repairs on equipment in order to guarantee resident comfort and security.

Main duties for Maintenance Technicians will include:

• Inspecting the physical condition of the community and immediately initiating action to correct unsafe conditions, broken items, apartment-related fixes, etc.
• Diagnosing and performing minor and routine maintenance/repair community-wide and handling all work area clean up and safety related duties, as directed.
• Assisting in keeping grounds neat and free of litter including raking, sweeping, shoveling, and moving or removing large items (i.e. appliances) as circumstances warrant
• Scheduling and performing routine preventive maintenance and inspections on all appropriate areas, equipment, apartments, and tools
• Understanding all maintenance-related aspects of the community including utility meter cut-offs, apartment and fixture cut-offs, sewer cleanouts, maintenance shops, storage areas, etc.
