The Driver License Division is hiring a Driver License General Services Worker (Warehouse Worker III) for our Warehouse.
Principal Duties
- Assist with daily operations of a warehouse and office environment.
- Ensure that there is an adequate supply of necessary materials available for the entirety of the Driver License Division across the state.
- Order, receive, inspect, store equipment, merchandise, commodities, materials, and/or supplies.
- Load and unload material, supplies, and/or equipment as needed.
- Prepare, deliver, and receive materials to and from surrounding and offices.
- Monitor the warehouse and receive deliveries from couriers.
- Assist in distributing materials to staff, partner programs, and organizations.
- Maintain security of sensitive documents and materials
- Maintain accurate records, logs, and reports
- Prepare and submit items for surplus
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience with warehouse procedures, techniques, and safety.
- Experience with assembling, sorting, and distributing documents, and/or materials/items.
- Experience with maintaining inventory, tracking receipt, and sending/delivery of materials.
- Experience ordering supplies and materials from online vendors.
- Experience maintaining records and logs.
- Be able to communicate in person, via email, digital chat, and over the phone.
- Be able to interact with internal and external customers in a professional manner.
- Be able to troubleshoot problems with orders and assist in coordinating returns as needed.
- Experience with manual and electric pallet jacks.
- Experience with surplus systems.
- Driving experience.
- Maintain a valid driver license and clean driving record
Preference(s): May be given to current employees of the Department of Public Safety.
Department of Public Safety - The Agency
The Driver License Division is an important piece of the overall mission of the Department of Public Safety. It's responsible for properly administering and evaluating all applications for licenses and IDs to determine their validity and eligibility for the requested document. Our division is responsible for giving road tests, performing eye examinations, and scoring written examinations for new driver licenses or renewals.
