Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

Work 12-hour shifts with options for day shift (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) or night shift (7:30 PM - 7:30 AM)

Every other weekend requirement: Friday and Saturday for nights, Saturday and Sunday for day shift

Holiday rotation to distribute holidays fairly

Multi-care unit with variable patient ratios based on acuity: ICU 1:2, PCU 1:4, MST 1:5-6

Minimum 2 years ICU experience required, or 1 year ICU plus 1 year PCU/Med-Surg with strong skills from larger facilities

Must pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% score within two attempts prior to contract signing

Required certifications: BLS and ACLS

Must titrate drips including sedation, vasopressors, and insulin

Care for medical ICU patients with diagnoses including sepsis, suicide attempts, drug/alcohol withdrawal, COPD, respiratory arrest, pneumonia, DKA, and post-op complications

Perform 12-lead EKGs and monitor ICU patients via bedside cardiac monitors

Float to other units including EC MST, Pediatric unit, and West Campus in Prescott for ICU/PCU patients

May be placed on standby rotation during low census periods

Any scrub color permitted except camouflage

Chart using Cerner system

BSN not required

This healthcare facility operates a 10-bed multi-care unit that provides three levels of acuity care within one unit, eliminating the need for patients to transfer between different units. The facility features comprehensive support services including respiratory therapy with ventilators, BiPap, and CPAP equipment, plus remote monitor technicians for patient surveillance. The organization maintains high standards for critical care nursing and provides extensive orientation programs to ensure staff competency across all acuity levels.
