Senior Software Engineer: Adoption

This is the PERFECT position for a Senior level Software Engineer with a strong background in DevSecOps, Cert DevOps and creating digital technology transformations. This is an onsite position based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

• Create and deploy adoption strategies for helping teams to efficiently adopt our common development environment.
• Integrated with adopting teams to provide first class adoption support.
• Create and manage adoption roadmaps and plans.
• Execute adoption plans and roadmaps.
• Set-up and own sandbox environments for technology incubation and development.
• Work across teams and departments to enable rapid onboarding of the Cert DevOps technology.
• Mentor, train and onboard teammates.
• Be expected to be a self-starter, able to multitask and manage unplanned events.
• Use your organizational skills to keep track of everything.
• Use your effective communication skills to keep engineering peers, leadership and customers up to date.
• Use your problem solving, decision making, and teamwork skills to support the team mission.

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
• US Person is required - Job requires access to ITAR or 600/500-series EAR information or hardware (directly or indirectly) and the company will not seek an export authorization for this role.

• Practical experience in all aspects/phases the software engineering product lifecycle to include all phases of DO-178 certification.
• Practical experience with industry known software development patterns.
• Practical experience with Avionics Software Development.
• Experience with DevSecOps.
• Experience with: GitLab, Git, CMake, MinGW, LynxOS, Coverity, Artifactory, Docker, Vista.
• Experience and/or knowledge of scripting languages: Python, Robot, Lava.
• Experience with networking protocols and IT infrastructure.
• Experience with Agile development life cycle and best practices.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
