Assistant Project Manager

Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and overseeing construction projects. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders. Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports. Assist in the preparation of project schedules, budgets, and forecasts. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process. Participate in project meetings and provide updates on project status.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning, coordinating, and overseeing construction projects.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.

Essential Skills:

• Experience in construction, heavy civil construction, and underground utilities.
• Proficiency in RFI, submittals, and change orders.
• Experience with construction management and heavy highway projects.
• Field experience in heavy civil/underground utilities construction (4-8 years).
• Proficiency in project management and project coordination.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Experience with Microsoft Project.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Good communication skills and experience interfacing with clients.
• Ambitious and looking to grow in career.
• Experience with HCSS.
• Opportunity to learn estimating on the job.

Work Environment:

Work primarily in an office setting, with 80 percent of time spent in the office and 20 percent in the field. Enjoy the benefit of mileage reimbursement. This role provides an excellent opportunity for career growth into a project management position.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hackensack, NJ.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $52.88 - $62.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
