Project Manager/Sr. Consultant

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager/Sr. Consultant to lead IT application initiatives within a dynamic organizational environment. This role focuses on managing complex IT projects, ensuring smooth execution of application migrations, and driving alignment with business objectives. This is a long-term contract position based in Houston, Texas. Responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute comprehensive project plans that align IT application strategies with organizational goals.
- Oversee the migration and separation of IT systems, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Manage cross-functional teams to ensure effective collaboration and project delivery within set timelines.
- Identify potential risks, create mitigation strategies, and resolve issues to maintain project continuity.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, including legal, procurement, and vendors, to manage application licenses and compliance requirements.
- Lead change management efforts by preparing communication plans, organizing training sessions, and ensuring user adoption.
- Monitor project budgets, allocate resources efficiently, and track expenses to stay within financial constraints.
- Formulate detailed cutover plans, including readiness assessments, blackout windows, and post-implementation support.
- Ensure application integration processes meet organizational standards and facilitate seamless interaction with other systems.
Requirements include:
- Minimum of 7 years of project management experience, especially in IT system migrations and transformations.
- Expertise in managing application or domain migrations, including ERP and Active Directory systems.
- Strong knowledge of the application lifecycle, from deployment to retirement.
- Ability to develop and manage cutover plans, addressing readiness and hyper-care support.
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating global teams and driving alignment across multiple stakeholders.
- Familiarity with change management processes, including assessing end-user impacts and organizing training.
- Proficiency in tools like Atlassian Jira and experience with Agile Scrum methodologies.
- PMP certification is highly preferred, along with a degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Project Management.
