Medical Assistant

Psychiatric Services Clinic Support will utilize trauma informed practices and customer service to provide support to psychiatric providers and patients, to ensure quality mental health and substance recovery medication management in a clinical setting. Essential functions include providing customer service, managing patient and provider phone calls, facilitating referrals and appointments, managing insurance authorization requests, obtaining collateral information, managing pharmacy relationships, assisting with medication dispensing, facilitating discharge processes, and performing basic laboratory tests.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. CRMA trained.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Required: Valid state driver's license. Valid CRMA Certification.
Experience: Experience with EHR.
Knowledge and Skills: Minimum typing speed of 55 wpm. Knowledge of office procedures. High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization. Knowledge of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
