Reporting to the Clinic Manager and collaborating closely with the Physician Practice Administrator, the Clinic Supervisor leads daily access operations and aligns workflow with organizational goals. The Clinic Supervisor directly oversees registration, scheduling, and front office personnel while coordinating with medical assistants, nurses, and providers to ensure seamless handoffs. Cross-functional partners for the Clinic Supervisor include revenue cycle, IT, HR, quality, and compliance leaders to support efficient clinic operations.
Unit Description In a busy, multi-provider outpatient setting, the Clinic Supervisor guides a supportive, team-oriented front office known for professionalism, empathy, and reliability. The Clinic Supervisor oversees check-in, check-out, call management, referral coordination, and medical records workflows, maintaining consistent standards across all touchpoints. Close collaboration with compassionate clinicians and skilled support staff gives the Clinic Supervisor a platform to elevate patient experience every day.
The Clinic Supervisor leads day-to-day operations for patient registration, scheduling, insurance eligibility, and communications, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and exceptional service. A Clinic Supervisor advances staff development through coaching, competency assessment, policy interpretation, and education on privacy, safety, and quality standards. On the administrative side, the Clinic Supervisor supports staffing and scheduling, throughput optimization, KPI tracking, and collaboration with third-party payors to reduce denials and improve collections, while assisting the Clinic Manager with budgeting, compliance, and performance improvement. The Clinic Supervisor fosters effective communication across departments and maintains professional growth, adaptability, and adherence to core values-performing other duties as assigned.
