Job Summary:

A Service Advisor acts as the liaison between customers and the dealership's service department. They are responsible for greeting customers, understanding their vehicle concerns, writing repair orders, and ensuring timely, accurate communication throughout the service process. A successful Service Advisor provides excellent customer service while helping drive service sales and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet customers in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Accurately document customer concerns and vehicle issues.
  • Write service repair orders and coordinate vehicle inspections with technicians.
  • Provide clear explanations of repair recommendations, costs, and timelines.
  • Communicate with customers throughout the service process, updating them on progress or changes.
  • Obtain proper authorizations and approvals for repair work.
  • Ensure customer complaints are resolved promptly and effectively.
  • Promote dealership services, specials, and maintenance plans to customers.
  • Coordinate vehicle pick-up and delivery as needed.
  • Ensure final invoice accuracy and review charges with the customer.
  • Maintain customer records and service histories in the dealership's management system.
  • Meet service department goals and performance targets.
