Overview:
A leading investment firm is seeking an Investment Analyst to join its team. The firm employs a fundamental, research-driven approach with a concentrated portfolio and a long-term investment horizon. The strategy is Equity Long/Short with a long bias, and the team is known for its rigorous analysis and collaborative culture. This role will have a primary focus on Industrials and related sectors, offering the opportunity to develop deep expertise in these areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct deep, bottoms-up fundamental research on companies and industries, with an emphasis on Industrials
- Build and maintain detailed financial models incorporating company and sector data
- Develop targeted industry expertise and stay current on market trends
- Engage with management teams, investors, and other industry stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record
- 2-5+ years of relevant experience in investment research or related fields
- Open to IB/PE backgrounds
- Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Passion for financial markets and curiosity about businesses and industries
- Competitive spirit and drive to succeed
- Advanced modeling skills with assumptions and inputs grounded in data and research
