MRG Exams is a premier provider of Independent Medical Evaluations (IME) and Permanent Partial Impairment Ratings (PPIR) services for the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC), third-party administrators, Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), and employers. We are searching for dedicated and board-certified MDs or DOs in Occupational Medicine, Physical Medicine & Rehab, or Orthopedics to join our dynamic team as Independent Medical Evaluators. Position Overview:

As an IME Specialist, your main responsibilities will include conducting detailed medical assessments, determining permanent partial impairment, and delivering objective evaluations in narrative reports that aid in claims adjudication and case management. We provide training, but your experience or willingness to learn is key. Travel within Ohio is necessary, and candidates already on the BWC's Disability Evaluators Panel are especially encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough medical evaluations and assessments according to Ohio BWC guidelines and regulations.
  • Perform Permanent Partial Impairment Ratings accurately and objectively using the 5th Edition AMA Guidelines.
  • Document findings and produce clear, concise reports within specified timelines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure exceptional service delivery to our clients.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Engage in ongoing training and professional development activities.
  • Represent the company with professionalism and integrity in all interactions.

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Board certification in Occupational Medicine, Physical Medicine & Rehab, or Orthopedics.
  • Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of Ohio.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Previous experience with IME/impairment rating exams is preferred but not required.
