Job Title: Laboratory Technician II
Duration: 6 Months
Location: Oak Creek WI 53154
Payrate: $25 per hour on W2 (All Inclusive)
Shift: 08: 00 AM - 04: 30 AM
  • Level II: You will be responsible for providing a wide variety of technical activities in support of color-matching activities.
  • As a contingent lab technician, you will work independently or in concert with chemists or project leaders to plan, prioritize, execute, test and document assignments involving the use of learned skills in color matching.
  • Ideally, as the Product Development Lab Technician you will either have experience matching color or will have exposure to color matching and be willing to train and learn additional skills.
  • This role will work onsite at our Oak Creek, WI facility and report to the OEM Response Team Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
  • Follows all EH&S and safety guidelines.
  • Preparation and application of liquid coating products and using spectrophotometers to measure color.
  • Independently plans and organizes tasks following a discussion of objectives and procedures with the supervisor.
  • Observes unusual results and suggests possible root causes.
  • Able to juggle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Makes smooth transitions between projects or situations.
  • Builds on past experiences to improve efficiency.
  • Seeks additional assignments.
  • Solves problems in own area.
  • Makes/contributes to internal presentations.
  • Learns, understands, supports, and conforms to company policies and processes, along with Adherence to company policy.
Requirements:
  • Two (2) to five (5) or more years lab experience preferred.
  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Must be able to wear a respirator, comfortable with hands-on benchwork, and working with complex equipment.
  • Previous work in a coating's laboratory environment preferred.
  • Color matching experience a plus.
