Position Summary: Life Enrichment Director
The Life Enrichment Director is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing a diverse schedule of life-enriching activities, programs, and events that promote wellness, creativity, and social engagement among residents.
You will design programs that support physical, emotional, spiritual, and cognitive well-being while fostering a sense of community and belonging.
You will also collaborate closely with other department leaders to support occupancy development and community involvement through innovative events and partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and lead engaging daily, weekly, and monthly activities and programs for residents in both Assisted Living and Memory Care.
- Coordinate entertainment, group outings, exercise programs, arts and crafts, educational sessions, and special events.
- Foster relationships with local organizations, volunteers, and families to enhance community engagement.
- Create and manage monthly activity calendars that reflect residents' interests and abilities.
- Promote and participate in community marketing events that showcase Charter's mission and values.
- Supervise and motivate Life Enrichment team members and volunteers.
- Ensure programs comply with all applicable state regulations and community policies.
Experience: 1 or more years of experience in Life Enrichment, Activity Coordination, or Recreational Programming (senior living experience preferred)
Skills: Excellent communication, organization, and event-planning abilities; creative and energetic personality
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; degree or certification in Recreation Therapy, Social Work, or related field preferred
Other Requirements:
- Must enjoy working with seniors and have a positive, compassionate attitude
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends for special events
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and assist residents as needed
