Manager, IT Business Applications

Insight Global is seeking a highly technical Senior Business Applications Manager to lead and mentor a skilled technical team supporting enterprise business applications at one of their top clients in the insurance brokerage space. This individual will provide supervisory leadership, technical guidance, and workload management for a team of 5-6, including 2 developers. The role focuses on oversight and support of various insurance-related applications, ensuring operational efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate combines strong people management skills with deep technical expertise in system administration, SaaS application oversight, and scripting. Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) is essential, as most enterprise applications run on these platforms. While not managing the cloud infrastructure directly, this role requires understanding how these environments interact with SaaS applications. Experience in SQL scripting, API integrations, and relational databases is highly valued.

Required Skills & Experience
• Strong leadership and people management skills; proven ability to mentor and train teams
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) and SaaS application oversight
• Experience with insurance industry applications (e.g., agency management systems, claims systems, BenefitPoint, Vertafore)
• Strong scripting skills (SQL, PowerShell, or similar)
• API experience and ability to oversee secure integrations
• Knowledge of relational databases (SQL, PostgreSQL)
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional projects
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Hands-on development experience
• Project management experience for application rollouts and upgrades
• Familiarity with financial systems and integrations
Ability to create and maintain KPIs for application performance and security
