Your Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive assessments, order diagnostic tests, and tailor individualized care plans
  • Diagnose and manage acute, chronic, or episodic conditions in partnership with physicians or independently, depending on your certifications
  • Educate patients and families regarding prevention strategies, wellness initiatives, and effective disease management
  • Prescribe medications and therapies in line with your practice scope
  • Engage in patient follow-ups and oversee chronic care management
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver seamless, patient-centered care
  • Document patient interactions thoroughly and accurately within electronic medical records (EMR)
Educational Qualifications
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
  • Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Essential Certifications
  • Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Louisiana
  • National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or its equivalent
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to secure these within 90 days)
