General Summary Statement
Responsible for management of day-to-day operations of the OB/GYN Clinic staff and patients. Provides comprehensive, coordinated and continuous outpatient care to women at CCH and the satellite clinic in Kennett Square in collaboration with the OB/GYN physicians and other members of the CCH healthcare team. Including but not limited to the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of direct patient care. Manages daily clinical operations. Prepares, plans, estimates fiscal department budget. Supervises nursing and clerical staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Management Responsibilities
1. Assumes responsibility for the daily clinical management of the OB/GYN Clinic, staffing and quality of care.
2. Prepares yearly Capital Budget and Department Budget in collaboration with Director.
3. Manages department expenses within fiscal budget with monthly revenue analysis.
4. Prepares monthly department statistics and submits to Director and SVP.
5. Assists the private OB practice Managers with patient data to ensure physician payment of services.
6. Plans and implements Quality Improvement initiatives.
7. Reviews, writes and implements nursing policies and procedures.
8. Facilitates inter-departmental communication as evidenced by problem solving at the unit level. Promotes team work.
9. Participates in hiring, evaluating and disciplinary actions for staff.
10. Completes staff initial and annual evaluations.
11. Participates in planning and provision of educational opportunities and supporting professional growth.
12. Exemplifies superior customer service skills and performs service recovery
Education Training and Experience
• Graduate from a MSN, Nurse Practitioner program.
• A minimum of 2 years' prior management experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification
• Active PA license as a Registered Nurse required.
• Active PA license as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner required.
• Active PA license for Prescriptive Privileges required.
• Active certification with NCC as a Women's Health Care Nurse Practitioner required.
• CPR certification required.
